Does the USA Have to do Everything?
With the recent events in the Middle East - especially the conflict between Israel and Iran/Syria (let's be honest - they're using Lebanon as a proxy) I'm once again reminded that the rest of the world, besides the USA, is completely helpless. That includes every country calling for a "cease-fire." You can't have a cease-fire with a group who's sole purpose is wiping your country off the face of the earth. All a cease fire will accomplish is giving the terrorists time to regroup launch more rockets at Israeli civilians.
Every country has its share of "peace at all costs hippies" who hold marches and protests for the wrong side. I just don't get the logic behind their actions. Do they really think if Israel stops the offensive the terrorists will stop killing civilians and let them live in peace?
Unfortunately, my hunch is we'll eventually see the USA step in with a solution - which may very well end up being troops. The UN is about as worthless as an ice cube in the North Pole and I don't see any other countries stepping up with a solution...besides the ignorant cease-fire proposals.
Hopefully I'm wrong.

Yeah, that's right, cease-fire and the Israeli people will live in constant misery enduring relentless attacks from palestinian terrorist factions. But the very fact that the US backed Israeli forces, under the US's own definition of terrorist, are exactly that (terrorists), is of little consequence I suppose. The palestinians "kiddnap" one soldier (though if a soldier is captured in the course of conflict I am not sure how it is possible to define that as kiddnapping) and Israel typically respond by destroying droves of palestinian civilians, and you think there are no grounds for a cease-fire? Violence will only insight more violence and anger, and that will only dragg the whole thing on longer.
NO It doesn't, as a single man living in one of the highest cost of living city with who is taxed out of his mind.
I can't excuse 350 Billion of my tax dollars going to fuel a war that i don't think we should have gotten in at all.
Forget Isreal they are not innocent, Arab nations they are not all guilty, and Christian Country they are hyprocritical, we americans can't be everybody police.
In america the police are respected and reviled in the same instance. Let us adopted a policy of limited isolationism. Give people the ability to resolve thier own problems. if imposed from outside it will never hold. let the israelis and arabs wage a ware of attritian. they'll figure it out eventually. I think America should only step in when WMD are involved, and once that is neutralised we should as quickly step out.
Thanks
